Film is my life, and I have spent my life appreciating films, and hopefully spend the rest of my life creating them. So this list is a big deal to me.Okay, so I have never disclosed this before, but currently these are my top ten. I have seen these films so many times, but never once had they been redundant, as even on my twentieth viewing I find something new. While you may not agree with my list, I encourage you to see them all, as these all are great films that I found to be a transcendent experience like no other and a powerful measure of what the medium is capable of.

My Top Ten Favorite Films Of All Time

10. Goodfellas
9.  A Serious Man
8.  Magnolia
7.  8 1/2
6.  Waking Life
5.  Through a Glass Darkly
4.  Requiem For a Dream
3.  Eraserhead
2.  Synecdoche, New York
1.  2001: A Space Odyssey

I am very excited to announce that I am working on my novel again. I used to work religiously on my own idea for a novel. I even managed to get over seventy pages into it before I lost the one and only manuscript in my backpack, when I left that at the mall. That gave way to laziness, and never got the motivation to work on it again. And than I sunk into a depression that blocked a lot of my creativity. But mostly I have been victim of just not caring about it enough to rejuvenate it. Recently I have been oddly inspired, so I decided to sink back into it, and am rewriting it from the ground up. It is still very similar as the details I am changing are more later on (the unwritten bit XD). I have finally wised up and am writing it all on a Google doc, so I can't lose any files - hallelujah!

The story is tentatively entitled "Apotheosis of the Mediocre Man," and it is an existential fairy tale about the meaning of life. It is completely ridiculous but my hope is that someone will get a modicum of entertainment out of it. I decidedly use my dry sardonic humor which no one seems to get in my writing, and the story is completely surreal. I wish I could share it on dA but I plan on failing to getting it published soon, and am not interested in losing my rights to it (Yes, I know dA has diligent copyright options, but frankly I am just not intelligent enough to fully comprehend them and am going to take no chances). However if someone is interested enough, I could share the document with them to view, and I could use some constructive feedback. The last time I wrote, I was intensely secretive about it, which made the story too self contained and thus incomprehensible. I make no pretenses about this writing being good, as it most likely isn't, however it is interesting and personal enough to enthrall me.

I thought it would be fun to quickly assemble a playlist that served as a soundtrack to my entire life, starting from my birth to current times, so far compiled of pop songs I just had off hand. It was fun to make, although it was hastily made, and I could probably compile a much better one with time and effort.

The entire playlist can be found, and streamed completely free, and in order right here:
